One of the oldest GAA clubs in Britain, John Mitchel’s Hurling Club was formed in 1933 while the Football Club was formed in 1939 (the two have since amalgamated into one club).

The hurlers won the Club Championship of Britain in 1971, having subsequently won the All-Britain Junior Hurling Championship on six occasions (most recently in 2019) as well as some 25 Warwickshire Senior Hurling Championships. The footballers have won some eight Warwickshire Senior Football Championships, with their biggest achievement winning the Club Championship of Britain in 1988.
