It’s been a poignant weekend at the 2023 All-Britain Championships.
Overnight, the passing of the Chair of the ABC Committee was announced: John Gormley was, amongst so many things, pivotal in making the ABCs what they are today – one of the biggest GAA gatherings outside of Ireland with over 3,500 children taking part across the codes. He notably served as Chair of the Provincial Council of Britain and was our current Delegate to the GAA Central Council.
All of us here in Warwickshire would like to convey our deepest condolences to John’s family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
The Funeral Details are as follows: Removal with take place to St Joseph’s Church, Gardenia Avenue, Luton LU2 3NS at 7pm on Tuesday 25th July. The Requiem Mass is at 10.30am on Wednesday 26th with Cremation at The Vale, Luton LU2 8DD at 12.00 noon, with a reception afterwards at St Joseph’s Parish Centre.
